AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS:

FOR BROW ENHANCEMENT

During the healing process it is very normal to experience tenderness and slight redness. Due to the use of an anesthetic to ease the discomfort, a white halo may appear around the treated area and will disappear in an hour or so after the appointment.

Once the exfoliation of your enhancement starts it is very important to NOT PICK, PEEL, or TOUCH the enhancement with your bare hands as it can lead to infection. Use a Q-Tip to apply your antibiotic and Vaseline to the treated area. Concentrated pigment focused on a certain area on your enhancement is due to the process of healing and is completely normal so please do not be alarmed. It is best to let the healing process happen naturally for the best end result.

Daily Care to Follow for 1 week

•Three hours after  appointment, gently clean  eyebrows to remove any excess fluid or blood from the area. This can be done by using a water wipe or a saline wipe.

Brows will dry heal for 48 hours. This means no product will be applied during this period although the area must still be cleaned.

After 48 hours, with a Q-TIP, using only half-a-pea size,  gently apply the ointment onto the area. The ointment should be applied once every morning and once every night for 7 days. ( client with oily skin, apply ointment once a day for 7 days.)

Brows will take 7-10 days to fully appear once peeling has finished. The color under the skin will at this point appear much lighter in comparison to the skin that is peeling off. This is completely normal as the skin is in its remodeling phase. At this point, your client will have a pink layer of fresh new skin that can often alter how the pigment actually looks. It can be 4-8 weeks before the true color appears.

• We recommend that you use baby shampoo or mild soap to cleanse your skin. Preferably one that doesn't contain AHA , glycolic, lactic acids , or Retin A  products as they will fade the pigmentation. Please do not cleanse directly on the brows during the first week. Do not splash wash your face.

• To prevent your enhancement from getting wet, apply a thick layer of Vaseline to your enhancement when washing your hair to prevent it from becoming wet. Gently wipe off the Vaseline with cotton swabs.

• If your enhancement gets wet, gently pat the area dry using a clean tissue.

• Keep your hair away from your enhancement to prevent the possibility of infection.

• Please allow for the enhancement to naturally flake. It is also normal to experience itching. DO NOT PEEL, PICK, or RUB the enhancement as this will make it heal uneven and may cause infection.

• Don't undergo any skincare beauty treatments for at least 5 days after the application of your enhancement.

• No make-up should be applied close to your enhancement during this time, same goes for tinting eyelashes or brows. Please also avoid any products that contain Aloe vera or Vitamin E at this time.

 Avoid for 2 weeks

• Please avoid having direct sunlight on your enhancement. No tanning treatments, jacuzzis, saunas, salt water,  chlorine, or recreational bodies of water.

• Do not tint, wax, or do peels, electrolysis, or laser hair removal treatments around the treated area.

 Long term Care

• The sun can damage and fade your treated area so take care of your enhancement by investing in a good sunscreen.

• If you are thinking of having a chemical peel, laser procedure, or an MRI scan inform the technician of your permanent cosmetics.

• If you decide to donate blood within a year after your treatment notify the national blood service before as this can affect your ability to donate.

 Important notes

• After the initial 14 days the color you have chosen will fade and begin to appear more natural.

• Typically healing should take up to about 14 days, though this can vary case by case due to the fact that some may take longer due to stress, a poor diet, or their immune system is compromised.

• Uneven color after the initial treatment is to be expected. In order to ensure the best outcome we recommend a second session to achieve the desired result. The cost of the second session is determined by the time frame you return from your first initial appointment.  Please review under services for more details on pricing.  Please be mindful of the artist's time and notify 7 days in advance to reschedule. We also require a non refundable deposit when you book your appointments to guarantee your time slot.

FOR EYELINER ENHANCEMENT

Experiencing mild swelling after the procedure is normal. The amount of swelling cannot be predicted as everyone takes to the procedure differently and therefore makes the healing process different for each individual.

Applying ice on the eyes in the morning and sleeping propped up can help with the discomfort. While your enhancement is healing please try avoiding foods that are high in sodium for a few days and NEVER pick at the enhancement no matter the appearance.  No make-up is allowed on the enhancement until it is completely healed. Once the site is healed if you choose to apply mascara please purchase a new tube, as your old one may contain bacteria.

All of the above including:

• 72 hours After the treatment no make up is allowed on the treated area.  If however you would like to wear mascara it must be a new mascara to avoid contamination.

• Since eyes are naturally moist there's no need to apply balm.

*If you received classic eyeliners tattoos apply balm 1-2 times a day for 7 days. for lash enhancement liners omit balm.

FOR LIPS ENHANCEMENT

After the procedure the treated area tends to be very dry and chapped. Out of all the procedures this one takes the longest to heal. It is very important to keep your lips moist constantly to keep them lubricated and supple. Applying ice on the enhancement can help with the discomfort. Lips have a tendency to fade up to 60% after the procedure so taking good care after is mandatory. The peeling period lasts about 4-6 day so until then, lipstick, salty foods, tooth paste, and wine are not allowed on the treated area. Please rinse your mouth with cold water after eating and reapply the ointment as needed. Drinking fluids through a straw (even hot beverages) is necessary because a lot of fluids contain acids that may cause the pigment to fade.

All of the above including:

•  Please drink your beverages through a straw for the first few days

•  Reapply the balm as necessary to keep  lips moist

• Have a clean and dry diet and eat with cutlery to avoid getting the lips dirty. Avoid spicy and salty foods as it could irritate the treated area.

• Please refrain from kissing until scabs have completely come off.

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE EXCESSIVE REDNESS, SWELLING, RED STREAKS, OR TENDERNESS GOING FROM THE PROCEDURE AREA TO YOUR HEART, AND ELEVATED TEMPERATURE, OR EXCESSIVE DRAINAGE CONTACT YOUR PHYSICIAN AND YOUR TECHNICIAN AS THE AREA MAY BE INFECTED.

Failure to follow these instructions may result in pigment loss. We suggest a yearly color refresher to maintain the color's integrity.
